Japan – Intro

Last year at around December, I flew to Japan¬†ūüõ©ÔłŹ (Tokyo!). As expected, it was Winter. Well, in Tokyo, there is no snow, but it was freezing. Anyways, this is just an intro, but I cannot wait to update you about the whole trip!

Travel Diary

Week 1, Day 1 – Review

Today was day 1 of my 7 x 7 contract. Since it was only the first day, of course the effect is not that big (duhh), but when i read the practice card, (Card 9) I found out the best ways to plan your life!

People tend to plan daily, occasionally (or sporadically, as we’ve learnt before heuheuheu) , or not at all. You may as well ask this whole list of unnecessary questions:

  1. Why must we plan our life? (Or days, weeks, months)
  2. What difference does it make to plan daily than to plan weekly?
  3. Why must we identify the ‘Big Rocks’, the pebbles and the sand?

Number 1: We plan these things to be more organized. We must find our priorities, and when we could ‘achieve’ them.

Number 2: What difference does it make? From the 7 Habits book:

Organizing on a weekly basis provides much greater balance and context than daily planning… The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities. And this can best be done in the context of the week.

Number 3: Have you ever heard of the big rocks? It looks something like this:

  • The Big Rocks are your priorities. The most important things you must do.
  • The smaller pebbles are your other tasks, activities.
  • The sand is all the distraction and waste. All the unnecessary things.

So just imagine putting the sand first. Remember, the sand is the unnecessary things. Then you do all your other tasks, activities and such. Based on the photo (Jar on the right), you will have no space and time for the Big Rocks, which are your most important tasks!

If you do the other way round, (Jar on the left) putting first things first, you could have space and time for everything else. This is why you should identify your Big Rocks (MY CATS ARE “FIGHTING”) , pebbles and sand. So you can schedule and plan your week well, and have time for everything else.

It’s just the first day and I’m getting all these productive feels already! Can’t wait for the next 7 weeks!

Week 1, Day 1


Find a quiet place where you can find 20 – 30 mins to:

  1. Connect with your mission, roles and goals
  2. Schedule the Big Rocks. Ask the Big Rocks Question: ‘What are the one or two most important things I can do in this role this week?’
  3. Organize the rest (The pebbles and sand). Schedule the other tasks and activities around you Big Rocks.


How do effective people plan?  Effective people plan every week at the start of the week.What is the difference?

What is an example of common practice of planning?  A common practice is to plan sporadically* or not to plan at all.

The key is¬†not¬†to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.

A New Page

I know I should have posted this before the 7 x 7 Contract post (¬†https://therandomhouseproject.wordpress.com/2017/02/11/7-x-7-contract-7-days-7-weeks/ ) (Go look at it), but nevertheless, I have a new page! Reconstruction has occurred, and i’m excited for this new ‘room’! It’s about the 7 habits of Highly Effective People (Again, go look at it), so I will post an update of my progress of the contract for 7 weeks (Or more!).

Here’s an excited me ready for a change in my social and private life! Thanks for reading!

7 x 7 Contract – 7 days, 7 weeks

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People : The 7 x 7 Contract. Public and Private Victories, Dependence, Independence and Interdependence, Living a proactive, productive and positive life by living the 7 habits, and more. [To note: This goes to 2 categories : News and (New!) 7 habits)

Challenging myself: To keep up with a ‘contract’ is very hard for me (I give up stuff easily) (Don’t judge me heu heu heu) so I’m gonna challenge myself to go with the 7 x 7 contract (7 days, 7 weeks)

Chip in!: I find this kind of stuff really interesting, and it makes our lives better. You can chip in if you like, with me here supposing that you find this stuff interesting too.

How it works: It’s a 7 days, 7 weeks schedule. Of course it has to be somewhat ‘organized’. So here’s how it goes:

  • Day 1 – The first day of the week; do your weekly planning. Find a quiet place where you can focus and spend 20 – 30 minutes to: Connect with your mission, roles and goals.¬†Schedule the big rocks:¬†Ask the big rocks question –¬†What are the most important things I can do this week?¬†Organize the rest, schedule your other tasks and activities around your big rocks.

Put First things First   (aka Habit 3)

  • Day 2 to 6 – Specific Activities from each of the 7 Habits that will help you build relationships, achieve goals, complete you Personal Mission statement, and more.


    Planning your days

  • Day 7 – The last day of the week. Use this day as a make – up day. Do any activity you’ve missed during the week, or just take the day off.

Stepping on…

Warning! This may or may not be personal. (If you find that it is, too bad)

This is in point form. It does not need explanation because you can very well relate to it.

  • When I step on the back of my skirt when I go up the stairs
  • When somebody else steps on the back of my shoe (If you are this person, son’t worry. I’m not as evil as anyone else. Be careful) (If you do this just for fun and annoying me though, I hope you run fast.)
  • When I step in mud
  • When I step on wet grass (or grass in general)
  • When I step on tape and it sticks to my foot
  • When my foot is wet and I step on stray hair
  • When somebody else steps on my¬†new white shoes¬†(Again, I’m not as evil) (aka not as evil as if you did it for fun. Get ready to be perished)

Well I just want to announce that I am a berry happy BLINK fan


And sometimes Red velvet (Fandom name) (They still haven’t own one *Tears of waiting*) and Once! (Uhm I can’t say I enjoy heir M/Vs but it’s too catchy to not) Well, so this was totally random, and that’s why it belongs i the Random Room xP!

NEWS – Update in Learning Korean

Sorry! But when I think about it, the ‘room’ on Learning Korean is kind of empty, so I believe I will remove it. But don’t fret! I will make a new ‘room’ where all the news come in! News, like if I were to go anywhere soon, or that I will be offline for a few weeks or so, will be posted in that room. I’m sorry if any of you were looking forward to my ‘Learning Korean’ room, but I believe it’s for the best. It’s not that great if I have a room that is technically empty but people look forward to it. Sorry for the inconvenience caused! I hope that these changes will benefit this blog.
